Terms of sale
These terms cover The $2,000 PC in 100 Steps (the guide), The Build-It-Again Kit and the free compatibility checklist, sold on pc100steps.com.
Who you're buying from
The products are made by Jevgenij Ivanov, Ireland (ivanovworkbusiness@gmail.com). Orders are processed by Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, charges and pays any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt. Its own terms of purchase also apply to your order.
What you get
- The guide: the interactive web edition (to open in your browser, also as a download you can keep) and the PDF, 2027 Edition, plus the free updated edition when the 2027 processors launch.
- The Kit: printable PDF sheets for planning, building and testing a PC.
- Delivery is instant: the files are on your receipt page and in your receipt email.
Prices and parts in the guide are dated. Shop prices change every week, so the prices you see when you shop may be different.
Your license
You can read, print and use your copy for yourself, on any of your devices, and use what you learn to build PCs for yourself and for other people. Please don't share, resell or publish the files or their contents. One purchase is one personal license.
Refunds
See the refund policy. In short: because you get everything the moment you pay, sales are final once the guide is opened, and we help you by email until your PC boots instead.
Safety
The guide is educational. Follow the manuals that come with your parts, switch off and unplug at the wall before working inside a PC, and never open a power supply. You build your PC at your own risk; we can't accept responsibility for damage caused by not following the guide or the part makers' instructions. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
